Bay of Plenty District Health Board

The Bay of Plenty District Health Board (BOPDHB) is one of 21 district health boards in New Zealand that are established by the government, funded from general taxation, and responsible for the health and independence of the districts they serve.
BOPDHB serves a population of 200,000 on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island, taking in the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatane, Kawerau and Opotiki. It has the second largest population growth rate of all New Zealand's district health boards.
With a staff of approximately 3,100, BOPDHB is one of the largest employers in the region.

Lakes District Health Board

The Lakes District Health Board is the largest employer in the district, with a staff of some 1250. Lakes DHB works within allocated resources to improve, promote and protect the health and independence of the 100,000 people in the Lakes region, which includes Rotorua, Taupo, Turangi and Mangakino.

Founded in 1952, Tasman commenced production of newsprint and Kraft pulp at its Bay of Plenty mill in Kawerau, New Zealand, in 1955. Annual paper production is now over 30,000 tonnes. All wood used by Norske Skog Tasman originates from sustainably managed forest resources. The mill supplies newsprint to New Zealand, Australia, Asia and the South Pacific.
Norske Skog Tasman is totally committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for all employees working onsite. Participation in annual health checks and health promotion initiatives held throughout the year is encouraged by the onsite Occupational Health Centre Team and the Environmental, Health and Safety Council.

Red Stag Timber owns and operates Waipa Sawmill, located 5 minutes south of Rotorua. It is an independent, privately owned timber company which is currently producing around 300,000m3 per annum of structural timber, and currently employs 220 staff, and around 80 regular contractors.
Red Stag Timber is a company which promotes a safe and healthy workplace for all employees and contractors working onsite. Te Puke High School is a decile five state secondary school in Te Puke. The school serves the area from Otamarakau in the East to Papamoa in the West, and has a roll of 1100 students. We have 120 staff with an average age of 44 years.
Our school is proactively involved in developing health initiatives with students and in 2009 we decided to focus on staff wellbeing. Committing to WorkWell was easy for us as it aligns with what we hope to achieve for staff and will help us develop to the next stage as a professional learning organisation.

Te Runanga o Ngati Pikiao Trust is in the business of whanau and hapu development. We are an organisation that was established to deliver on the dreams and aspirations of our people Ngati Pikiao.
We have a clear focus on adding value to, and improving the quality of life of the people we serve which is not exclusive to Ngati Pikiao, but includes all of Te Arawa, Maori and the wider community of Rotorua. Currently the Runanga delivers a range of services under contract to a number of funders, including primary health care, mental health, Whanau Ora, social services, employment skills and housing to name a few.

We have been delivering health and social services in Taupo, Turangi and the surrounding areas since 1995. Currently contracted by Ministry of Health, Lakes DHB, CYFS and Ministry of Education. Our vision, To improve the health of all who reside in the rohe of Ngati Tuwharetoa.
We provide a range of services which include Mental Health, Tamariki Ora, High Needs, Health Education and Promotion, Smoking Cessation, Kaumatua and Maori Health. Our services cater for all ages from Tamariki (children) to Kaumatua (seniors). The services which we provide are 'free of charge'. We are also a non-profit organisation, working to provide the best services possible.

Waipuna Hospice is committed to providing first class Specialist Palliative Care for our patients diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. In order to do this Waipuna Hospice must have a staff workforce who take care of themselves in what is a highly demanding job.
Workwell allows Waipuna Hospice to aim high, using measures and guides developed through the Workwell system and also to benchmark our wellness systems using the the Workwell Accreditation System. Workwell will enable Waipuna Hospice Staff to provide care for our loved ones in our commmunity whilst looking after the whole team here at Waipuna Hospice.
